What is an oxygen bar?

You might think most of your energy comes from your genetic makeup, age, lifestyle, or the food (and beverages) you consume. But actually, most of your energy comes from oxygen.

Increasing your oxygen consumption can improve stamina and the quality of your daily life. An oxygen bar delivers higher oxygen concentrations than regular air. It helps improve your intake to boost energy and vitality.

Natural air contains about 21% oxygen. The concentration of oxygen at the bar at VitaInfuse Therapy is 100% and comes in a variety of flavors that can suit your mood and preferences. Usually, the flavors are fruity or made up of essential oils.

When should I visit an oxygen bar?

Oxygen bar therapy is especially helpful if you live in an area with high pollution or poor airflow. But anyone can benefit.

An oxygen bar can help if you:

  • Have low energy
  • Have frequent headaches
  • Have a hangover
  • Suffer brain fog
  • Have trouble concentrating

Oxygen bar treatments can improve your mood, boost blood circulation, enhance sports performance, reduce stress, and promote better sleep.

Oxygen therapy poses little to no risk. Warn the team at VitaInfuse Therapy if you have a lung condition like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or emphysema. People with these conditions may not be a candidate for oxygen bar therapy.

How does an oxygen bar work?

At your oxygen bar appointment, your technician offers you a selection of flavors (or aromas). They’ll explain the benefits of each.

You’ll then rest in a comfortable chair as a cannula, a flexible tube with two small prongs, is gently fastened around your head. The prongs rest inside your nostrils to deliver oxygen.

During your session, you sit back and breathe normally as the oxygen enters your system.

Your session can last anywhere from 15-45 minutes. The team helps you determine the right length for your symptoms and goals. You can combine oxygen bar treatments with other sessions like IV therapy or a facial.
